Jeremy Sawdon This album is amazing! Captures the art, story and music of Chrono Trigger perfectly. The NPC Collective did a fantastic job, everyone shines! The artwork of by Dan is awesome.

Big Brains with Sammus is so hot! With love, I was looking for Lucca, wanted a girl with big brains.
But had to have some Ayla, so I didn't worry.

This game has shaped a lot of our futures. It remains in my top three still. This album shows the monumental impact it has had on us. An instant, timeless classic.

Favorite track: Big Brains (feat. Sammus).

Chris Hall K-Murdock, hip hop music producer and frequent collaborator with Mega Ran has released his follow up to Hero Muzik Vol. I, the Final Fantasy VI Character Theme instrumental album with this new album! Hero Muzik Vol. II covers Character Themes and memorable pieces from the SNES classic RPG Chrono Trigger. Unlike Vol. I, this album is a full vocal album where every track, overtly or subtly, references Chrono Trigger's characters, story, and themes in a unique and refreshing way!

Featuring vocals from a wide variety of well known and up and coming nerdy artist, this album is a hip hop love letter to an RPG many of us grew up with and is still celebrated over 20 years after its initial release. The beats are heartfelt and soulful, and the lyrics are timeless, just like the game they're inspired from.

Be sure to check this out! It's highly recommended!

Do me a favor, BUY. THIS. ALBUM.

Even though the tracks are short and sweet jams remixed from each of the character themes of Chrono Trigger, you won't be disappointed. And if you're a fan of Chrono Trigger like these talented artists of both RandomBeats and the NPCC (Nerdy People of Color Collective) are, then there's something here for you. If you don't, well that's okay too.

In terms of tracks, The most poignant one is EyeQ's track "I remember it all," which is not just about him portraying Lavos, but also about how time is a valuable thing, and should not be wasted. After all, the only thing that evil needs to triumph is for good forces to do nothing. The most fire track is from Kadesh Flow with the rap "Focus management". He definitely JUKES it portraying Magus.
Also, gotta love BeNeVoLeNcE's track, portraying Magus and his younger self, barely recognized his voice there.

overall,a very solid release from K-Murdock, 2 years in the making.

Also, his HM1 album isn't bad either. give that a listen whenever you get the chance.

Over and out.

-Proto Trigger Favorite track: Focus Management (feat. Kadesh Flow).

about

LISTEN TO THE ALBUM SAMPLER: soundcloud.com/neosonix/hero-muzik-vol-ii-sampler

Hero Muzik 2 is the second installment of K-Murdock's "Hero Muzik" series which features K remixing music from his favorite role-playing games growing up; Volume 2 focuses on the ever-present SNES classic RPG Chrono Trigger. This album was a labor of love that took K over 2 years to complete and it was initially intended, like its predecessor, to be an instrumental album, BUT at the advice of his business partner/frequent collaborator Mega Ran, Hero Muzik 2 turned into a full-scale production project that prominently features various artists from the Nerdy People Of Color Collective (NPCC), which Ran & K are members of as well. Though this album boasts an assortment of features, much like the diverse cast of characters in the actual game, the underlying goal in Hero Muzik 2 is showcasing the breadth of amazing music from Chrono Trigger, which composers Yasunori Mitsuda & Nobuo Uematsu originally created, via K putting his signature "neo-sonic" touch on!
